Items we can't sell in our shops
There are some things we can't sell for safety or legal reasons. If you're not sure about the items you're donating, please check our list below or ask your local St Peter's Hospice Shop.
Cannot sell
- Furs
- Nursery or baby items such as: prams, pushchairs, car seat, cots, Moses baskets, high chairs etc
- Toys without the CE mark
- Large toys (unless in pristine condition)
- Safety equipment such as: crash helmets, riding hats, bicycle helmets etc
- Skis
- Used animal beds or cages
- Gas or oil appliances
- Electric heaters
- Lawn mowers
- Sharp gardening tools
- Weapons post 1850
- Spectacles or prescription sunglasses
- Opened toiletries, cosmetics or Hair dyes
- Cleaning products
- Electric blankets
- Pillows
- Rugs, mats or carpets
- Cushion don’t comply with the relevant fire regulations or covers
- Computers or computer equipment
- Home recorded videos, cassettes, DVDs or CDs
- White goods or any large electrical items
- Large items of furniture
Under certain circumstances
- Bicycles may be accepted from time to time but only at the discretion of the shop manager. Bicycles cannot be collected.
- TVs may be accepted from time to time but only at the discretion of the shop manager. TVs cannot be collected.
